Let’s face it, some of us don’t have the speediest Internet connection, and this can cause some issues – especially when trying to watch something on YouTube. Well, today we’re going to learn how to change YouTube’s playback settings to accommodate those with a slower connection.
Let’s face it, some of us don’t have the speediest Internet connection, and this can cause some issues – especially when trying to watch something on YouTube. Well, today we’re going to learn how to change YouTube’s playback settings to accommodate those with a slower connection.
First, you’ll need to browse over to YouTube.com and log into your account. If you don’t have one, then clickCreate Account in the upper right-hand corner of the screen. Signing up only takes a moment. Once you’ve logged in, click your Username, then Settings.
On the Account Settings page, click Playback Setup, located in the left column and put a dot in the I have a slow connection. Never play higher-quality video. Radio button.
Hit Save Changes at the bottom when you’re done.
Now YouTube will play video while keeping your slow connection speed in mind. If you ever need to switch back, just follow these steps again and re-select “Always choose the best option for me based on my player size.”
