World’s Top 100 Cities with best Internet Connection Speed

Recently Akamai, world’s largest CDN(content delivery network) released the latest State of the Internet report. In this report, Akamai has included worlds top 100 best cities with best internet connection speed. The statistics report was till fourth quarter of 2011.

In the Top 50 list only South Korea and Japan have the highest number of cities and apart from these two countries Sweden(Umea, 15 and Goteborg, 50) and China(Hong Kong, 48) also on the top of list i.e. worlds top 50 cities in terms of highest internet connection speed only from four countries.

It is very bad that not of any indian cities make place in the top 100 list, BTW here I’m also sharing the india average internet connection speed from July 2007 to December 2011. According to map India average speed is 0.9Mbps till December 2011.
